REGID Carbon’s vision consists in accelerating investments on forestry carbon removal projects. We do that through risk mitigation to attract investor interest and boost confidence in nature-based solutions. This will lead to increased carbon removal from the atmosphere through forestry contributing to Paris agreement and net zero campaigns.

The REGID Carbon technology originated from a series of global consultancy assignments using various earth observation and machine learning methods. This  was led by the Founder James Daniel to support agroforestry and landscape monitoring using satellite imagery analysis approaches.

In 2018, a workshop was held by Global Landscape Restoration organizations at Global Good Intellectual Ventures in Bellevue, Seattle to assess the means to improve precision accuracy and reduce cost of performance monitoring.

James took the initiative to solve this problem that developers of nature based solutions were already exposed to from previous consultancy assignment. He mobilized software engineers, scientists and advisors to come up with a solution which is the REGID Carbon Technology.
